Dr Keisha Ross

Dr. Keisha Ross is a clinical psychologist and subject matter expert in cultural competence, specializing in race-based trauma and diverse aspects of identity. She provides training locally and internationally and serves in multiple leadership roles within professional organizations. Recognized with several awards for advancing diversity and mental health equity, Dr. Ross is a passionate advocate, educator, and clinical leader. She is dedicated to reducing stigma around mental health, empowering underserved populations, and promoting social justice within mental health systems, fostering greater inclusion and equity for marginalized communities.


As a Trustee of Afrikala Arts, Dr. Ross provides trauma-informed, evidence-based care grounded in community engagement. She blends research and clinical expertise to co-create culturally responsive strategies with community members and leaders. Her servant-transformative leadership empowers individuals and communities. As an educator/trainer, she leads with passion and purpose, serving as a change agent and inspiring others to connect with their inner spark to promote healing, growth and sustainable transformation.
